The Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board will host a Public Open House at James OMara Museum at Apothecary Hall on Sunday, March 26 from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. in celebration of Pharmacist Awareness Month.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board invites members of the public to visit the restored heritage site, free of charge, to see learn more about pharmacy and how the profession has evolved over the years. The museum, which has been preserved by Newfoundland and Labrador pharmacists, celebrates the history and the future of the profession. The museum showcases antique drug store fixtures, medications from before the turn of the 20th century, historical pharmacy equipment such as mortars and pestles, dispensing scales, pill making machines and more.
