Daily,10:30 am and 2 pm. Guided Fossil Site Visits at The Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre 7 Conception Bay Highway, CBS Join us on a walk through time, to an age when trilobites dominated the seas. Our Guided Fossil Site Visit leads down the Ocean Trail from the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre, exploring the natural history along the way, and ends at a 500 million-year-old fossil locality. There we will investigate the natural rock fall and look for the fossilized remains of the trilobites, brachiopods and other animals that lived in the shallow sea which covered this area half a billion years ago. $15 adult, $9 student/senior/youth. Admission to exhibits and related programs included. Weather permitting.

Every Monday, 1 -4 pm Giant Floor Map at The Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre 7 Conception Bay Highway, CBS Come see our giant 8m x 11m floor map of Newfoundland and Labrador. Join our interpreters as they show you around our province with a scavenger hunt and other map-related educational games. A great afternoon for explorers young and old. Included with admission to the exhibits.

Every Tuesday,11 am - 2 pm Lunch Unplugged at The Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre 7 Conception Bay Highway, CBS Come experience a taste of Newfoundland culture with local singers, musicians, songwriters and storytellers while enjoying a locally inspired lunch from our caf Free with purchase of lunch from the Coffee Matters Caf

Every Wednesday, 2 -4 pm Wacky Science Wednesdays at The Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre 7 Conception Bay Highway, CBS Join our science interpreters in the exhibits as they share with your some of our wackiest science experiments including making your own slime, pop your top, hair-standing science and more! These science demos are included with admission to the exhibits.

Every Thursday, 7 pm, Campfire Sing-A-Long at The Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre 7 Conception Bay Highway, CBS Come join us for a campfire on the river. There will be songs, stories and marshmallows for roasting. Free event by donation only. Weather permitting. To ensure the campfire is going ahead please call the day of at 834-2099 ext. 206.

Every Friday, 2 -4 pm, Fossil Fridays at The Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre 7 Conception Bay Highway, CBS Join our resident paleontologist Dr. Rod Taylor in our exhibits as he shows you even more cool fossils in our fossil touch tank. There will also be fossil-relatedactivities and crafts. Included inthe price of admission to the exhibits.

We have you covered at Manuels River; enjoy a delicious three-course dinner by Coffee Matters followed by a movie in our state of the art Theatre. Eligibility:
-Coast 101.1 contests are open to individuals that hold permanent residence in the province of Newfoundland And Labrador and are within the terrestrial broadcast contour of CKSJ-FM
-Those ineligible are:
--Coast Broadcasting Ltd. employees, those having left the employment of Coast Broadcasting Ltd within the past 2 years from the date of the contest period closing, persons that reside in the same household as Coast Broadcasting Ltd. employees and former employees, and immediate family members of Coast Broadcasting Ltd. employees and former employees.
--Coast Prize Sponsors for the contest, sponsor employees, persons that reside in the same household as Coast Prize Sponsor employees and immediate family members of Coast Prize sponsor employees.
--Individuals that reside outside of the CKSJ-FM terrestrial broadcast contour (ie. Those listening from a geographic distance through internet streaming).
--Those having previously participated in the Break The Bank Contest between February 26, 2018 and April 13, 2018.  Only one Break The Bank contest play per person if a prize is won or not.
-Contest participants must be 14 years of age or older.
--Prizes won by minors may be required to be distributed to a legal guardian as/if required by law.

Contest Period:
-Contest is open from February 26, 2018 to April 13, 2018 OR at a time when the available prizes have been exhausted
-Contest will air 3 times per day Monday Friday at 7:20am, 12:20pm, and 4:20pm Newfoundland Time AND/OR subsequent times broadcast on Coast 101.1.

Contest Participation:
-Those that choose to participate in a Coast contest will participate in a live or taped to live contest play via telephone at a time broadcast on Coast 101.1.  No purchase is necessary
-An eligible contest participant is randomly selected in the method described for that contest occasion
-Should a be caller # contest be played, the selection of the participant is to be considered a random selection of those that choose to phone.  There is no skill required.
-When prompted over the air to do so, the participant must personally place the phone call to 754-1011, proxy will not be accepted and any misrepresentation will violate the participants eligibility.
--Consideration will be given to a participants use of a proxy sitting directly with the participant in the case of a participant being unable to respond verbally due to a physical impediment.
-Having successfully been chosen for participation, the contest participant will be asked reveal prizes that are contained behind virtual vault doors.  The participant can continue to open vaults to reveal prizes until they reach the vault alarm.  If the participant chooses to stop selecting vaults with a prize revealed, the participant becomes eligible to win that prize and the selection process ends. If the participant reveals the vault alarm at anytime during vault selection, the participant will lose any prize revealed and the selection process ends.

Prizes:
-Contest participants will be eligible to win the prize specified behind the last vault revealed before choosing to stop
-The maximum cash prize for an individual winner will be $10,000
-A maximum of $25,000 in cash prizes will be available during the contest period.  Coast Broadcasting Ltd reserves the right to discontinue the contest when, or before, the maximum cash prize amount is reached
-A skill testing question will be posed where required by law

Other Items:
-Coast Contest participants agree to the following:
--An understanding that they are participating in a radio contest which will involve their verbal responses broadcast over public airwaves
--Their name, general area of residence, voice (recorded or live), and likeness may be used by Coast Broadcasting Ltd and Coast Contest Sponsors in promotional material surrounding the contest
--All prizes are to be accepted as awarded and are not transferable without the express permission of Coast Broadcasting Ltd and/or Coast Contest Sponsors
--Coast Broadcasting Ltd is not responsible for technical errors during the execution of a Coast Contest
--Any restitution due to a technical error is at the sole discretion of Coast Broadcasting Ltd and Coast Break The Bank Sponsors

-Coast Prize Sponsors for the contest, sponsor employees, persons that reside in the same household as Coast Prize Sponsor employees, and immediate family members of Coast Prize sponsor employees.
-Individuals that reside outside of the CKSJ-FM terrestrial broadcast contour (ie. Those listening from a geographical distance through internet streaming).
-Those having previously won a prize, and those residing in the same household of a prize winner, in the past 30 days.
-Only one Coast Prize winner per household every 30 days
-Contest participants under the age of 18 may require to have a prize won awarded in the name of a legal guardian.
-Note for some prizes, a requirement of the participant being 19 or older will be confirmed during the contest play.

Contest Participation:
-Those that choose to participate in a Coast contest will participate in a live or taped to live contest play.
-An eligible contest participant is randomly selected in the method described for that contest.

-To ensure proper identification of winners, we are unable to mail prizes.
-Prizes not claimed within 30 days are to be considered forfeited by the prize winner.
-Those found ineligible after the fact while claiming a prize in person may not receive their prize.

-Coast Contest participants agree to the following:

Cancellations and Closures for Saturday, March 10

- Mass and the Catholicism session for 9:30am at St. Pius X Church is cancelled today. The Confessions and 4:45pm Mass will be held as usual.

- All Memorial University exams for online courses scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the St. John's campus campus have been postponed and will be written on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. A new room will be announced in your course on Monday. For students writing outside of St. John's please contact your invigilator.

- RBC branches in St John's closed for the morning will now open at 11:30am.


- The Rooms will delay its opening until noon today.


- The Johnson GEO Centre will open at 1pm today.
