ArtsNL is accepting online applications from schools, school boards, or groups of schools to operate ArtsSmarts projects. ArtsSmarts provides funding to schools to bring professional artists into the classroom to help teachers and students integrate arts activities into non-arts subject areas. Application deadline: May 31, 2019 (for projects starting after September 15, 2019 and completed by June 22, 2020). Visit https://artsnl.smartsimple.ca to apply. Lakecrest is celebrating World Book Day! Dress as your favourite character and bring a book!!!


St. Peters Junior High Gr. 9 students are advised that a memo relating to the School Leaving Carnival, scheduled for June 6th, is now posted on the schools website and available at the office. Signed permission forms and the $25 fee must be returned to homeroom teachers prior to May 31st.


Schools have posted schedules for Final Exams on their websites.


Brother Rice Junior High Grade 8 students will take part in a Grade 9 Orientation at Holy Heart on Monday, May 27th, from 9:00am-11:00am. Students will be returning to class after the orientation.


Mount Pearl Senior High Safe Grad will be having a recycling blitz in the School Parking lot on Ruth Avenue this Saturday (May 25th) from 9 am to 3 pm.
