Issued on March 22nd;

Dear Families,

Based on the most recent COVID-19 update from the Provincial Government and the provinces Chief Medical Officer of Health, the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District is further limiting access to school facilities, effective immediately.

This means:

There will be no public access to our school whatsoever - including any pre-arranged drive-through pickup of students personal items.

Access to our school will be limited to the principal, as necessary, and facilities staff (i.e., custodial and maintenance staff), as directed/required by the District.

Any personal items which have not been collected at this point will be stored at the school until further notice.

The District acknowledges this represents a change to many previously arranged pick-up schedules. We sincerely regret the inconvenience this may cause students and families. We are, however, determined to keep our staff, students, families and communities as safe as possible during this rapidly evolving situation.

Please follow all directives and guidelines issued by the Provincial Government and public health authorities to keep your families and community safe during this difficult time. We will continue to be in contact in the days ahead.

For Memorial University Students;

A reminder to all Memorial University students that classes have resumed remotely.
https://www.mun.ca/covid19/students/graduate.php

Memorial University students are reminded that the spring semester will NOT involve in-class instruction. On-campus classes will not resume until September.

MUN academic advisors at all campuses are offering services remotely. Information on how to access their services is available on MUN's website.

Effective today (March 30th), all Canada Student Loan, Canada Apprentice Loan and Newfoundland and Labrador Student Loan borrowers will automatically have their repayments suspended until September 30, 2020. No payment will be required and interest will not accrue during this time. The Provincial Government does not charge interest on provincial student loans. Students do not need to apply for the repayment suspension.
